Is this safe for my baby?
Yes. This uses standard ultrasound technology, which is used by doctors all over the world. There are no “rays” or needles, and it is completely painless for both you and your baby.
Who will perform the scan?
Your own trusted midwife or Village Health Team (VHT). They have been specially trained to use BabyChecker to give you the best care possible.
Do I have to pay anything?
No. This service is 100% free for all mothers. Our goal is to make sure every baby in Uganda has a healthy start.
What happens if the scan finds a risk?
If the “traffic light” shows you need extra care, your midwife will immediately help you connect with a specialist through a chat or a hospital referral so you are never alone.
